Who is BAUT?

What once began with several pop-ups grew into a number of permanent spots in Amsterdam. Now that these spots are making way for something new, BAUT keeps doing what it has always done: moving, building and growing with, among others, BAUT Backstage and BAUT Events. Where and when we will pop up next? We don't know that ourselves yet. But one thing is certain: BAUT is far from finished.

Who is BAUT?

At the moment, we don’t have a permanent location or pop-up, but of course, that doesn’t mean we’re standing still. With BAUT Backstage and BAUT Events, we’re keeping things moving. And in the meantime, we’re already looking ahead to what’s next.

Magazine pages about BAUT #1 in the former Parool building on Wibautstraat

BAUT opens its first pop-up on Wibautstraat and immediately kicks things off with a 10/10 review in Het Parool by Johannes van Dam.

After two successful years, it’s time for BAUT Zuid, in the former Citroën garage next to the Olympic Stadium.

Zuid wasn’t finished yet, and the pop-up circus travels on to the Zuidas. Here we host the very first Oesterfest, an event still loved to this day.

V&D bankrupt? Time for the biggest PR stunt in hospitality with the opening of BAUT & Dreesman on the Rokin.

East Amsterdam missed BAUT, and we listened with pop-up number five: BAUT Paradijs. Close to where it all started, but once again something completely unique.

One had to be the last, and the pop-up in the beautiful Magdalena Chapel was our final one. But we never lost our ‘wild pop-up hair’ and you can still feel that energy in our restaurants today.
